Duration and Delivery

This level 7 online accountancy course is designed to be completed over one year of full-time study. However, we accommodate for completely flexible delivery, so that students can schedule their learning around other commitments such as work or family. The qualification is delivered online through our Virtual Learning Environment with 24x7 online tutor support.

Assessment and Verification

All units within this course are internally verified by our qualified assessors and externally verified by OTHM. This course is criterion-referenced, based on specific learning outcomes. To achieve a “PASS” for a unit, a student must complete the learning outcomes to meet the assessment criteria set by OTHM.

Equivalence

This course is the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) equivalent to a Master’s degree. Compared to a Master’s degree, however, the Level 7 Diploma takes less time, and learners can also choose to proceed to the dissertation level of 60 credits with a University to complete a Master's programme.

Progression

Successful completion of OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Accounting and Finance qualification enables learners to progress onto a professional career and/or continue to higher studies. As this qualification is regulated and approved by OFQUAL (Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation), students are eligible to progress for Master’s top-up programmes at the London Graduate School, University of Northampton, and University of Portsmouth.

For entry in this course, learners must meet the following criteria:

• A UK level 6 diploma, an honours degree, or equivalent qualification.
